" it's just whether you want to make it possible." That's the sentence that I always strongly believe in.

Everyday is a culture shock day. I realised that if you go to class/lesson alone, that's the time where you really can make new friends, because you are forced out of your comfort zone. There is no one you can rely to but no choice to talk to other people. I almost freaked out in lecture today because i realised that i need to do group presentation in front. Now i rather to go lesson alone, so that I will have to force myself.
one sentence to sum up the first week of exchange: " The culture is so different back at home"

| One of the pictures that I liked Most- whenever I see this picture, I will always rmb how hot the weather was (almost 39degrees) and I was applying layers of sunblock on my face & drinking water from their water coolers on the streets. The begbug I encountered at Venice && everything happens again.
Stockholm, Sweden Now
Have to say, I am not excatly missing Singapore yet- dont get me wrong. Study life here isnt good, I would say terrible. Going into the master course sybullus ( YEAR 3/4 modules) are really bad. When the lecturers says " Rmb you were taught in your year 2... " , my face sian-ed. Quantum Chemistry was ?! I dont noe what I am listening during lectures. Organic chemistry class is only 4 of us- which means that it is so hard to pon lectures. Even prof can singled you out/noticed you easily. lecture style different from Singapore's, interactions between prof & students too & look how they speak up in class; totally got a culture shock the other day I went for their lectures. I am considered as overload this semester- but I only took 5 modules here.
Stayed in hostel with my roomie, in the process of adpating to her sleeping clock- i bet she is too. The only thing i dont like is because it's too a large group- large groups are hard to maintain.
Stockholm, Sweden here are like Singapore. The people here may look cold from the outside, but if you approached them for directions/help , they are willing to help you. I am amazed that how well their english can be- because the fact that their first language is swedish- the first time i feel so helpless not be able to find something in supermarket because all the labels/cooking methods are in SWEDISH. They conduct classes in swedish, talk swedish among themselves.
I'm feeling sick NOW, i suspect it's the weather that I cannot suit to. I hope it dont get that worse.
